Puddle Jumping

Yesterday we had such inviting puddles in our driveway that I actually encouraged the kids to put on their rain boots and enjoy themselves. (I didn't realize at the time how muddy those mud puddles really were).  Macie was really enjoying herself, and was really workin' the camera, so I made the activity into a little photo shoot.

Ethan preferred getting some scooter time in over jumping in the muddy mess.  I'm so excited for more beautiful weather and chances to make memories with the kids outside!

Happy Easter!

 We had a fun Easter this year!  We went to an Easter egg hung in Eleva.  We were excited to see the Easter Bunny there.

 We got baskets and kites from the Easter Bunny.  We tried to fly the kites but there wasn't enough wind. 

 We got all dressed up and went to church.  Since we live so close, we took the wagon and scooter there.

 After church we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house.  We loved playing with Victor, Aunt Michelle, and little Maddy too!

 We had an Easter egg hunt there too.  It's so much fun to find eggs full of candy!

Lots of Sweet Things . . .

 As I just uploaded all my recent pictures, (recent meaning from the last 3 weeks) - I noticed a theme - the kids are eating or making sweets in most of them . . . .They must take after their mother in that department.

 Yesterday we went to Osseo where the kids got pictures taken with a baby lamb (photos to come) and decorated their own Easter cookies!  Both kids loved this project -

 (Notice Macie's tongue sticking out in this one . . . decorating cookies takes LOTS of concentration.)

 These pictures were taken on our most recent snow day.  We decided to bake cookies with the alphabet cookie cutters the kids got for Christmas (glad we finally broke those out in March!).  As you can see, Macie is being very helpful by reading us the recipe from the cookbook.

Ethan prefers to do his baking shirt-less. 

 I wanted to include that we had a very fun outing to the Children's Museum with Aunt Michelle and cousin Victor.  We had a sweet time ;) 

We've been enjoying the spring weather!  Yay!  Hopefully I'll get on the ball and take some fun outdoor shots soon.

Spring Break!

We had lots of fun last week when mom and Ethan were off of school for Spring Break! 

We started off the week by going to the Dells to stay in a hotel and play in their water park.

Then we went to Great Grandpa Bob's house.  Ethan had been dying to visit a library during our adventure, so we went to Grandpa's library which was really cool!  Here's Ethan reading in a tree.

We also stopped at Uncle Luke's house for some pizza!

 Later in the week, Ms. Rachel came over with Baby Jack.  Ethan had lots of fun holding him.

 We also spent time with Victor, our friends Isaac and Lily, and we went to grandma and grandpa's house to celebrate St. Patrick's Day!

Dinner Guests and Music

 We've been busy entertaining!  Victor and Aunt Michelle came over last weekend to help celebrate our birthdays!

 This week Lily and Isaac stopped by for some playtime, dinner, . . .

 and night-time snow play :) 

We always love getting our ukuleles out to entertain whoever will listen!
